Grilled Cheetos Sandwich

by Michelle on December 29, 2010

Okay I admit it, I’m a 1-bag a week Cheetos addict and I have been for at least 15 years. But sometimes I need something a little bit more cheesy but what is cheesier then Cheetos?

A Grilled Cheetos Sandwich!

I’ve been making the Grilled Cheetos Sandwich for a while now, but now the secret is out!

I prefer to make the Cheetos Sandwich with homemade Semolina Bread and Provolone cheese. But Mr. Tastebuds like his with Whole Wheat, Mozzarella and tomato. You can use any kind of bread or cheese but you must use real Cheetos!!

Just spread some butter on two slices of bread. Put one slice butter side down, in a saute pan over medium heat. Add a layer of cheese, stack up the Cheetos, add more cheese and top with another slice of buttered bread. Grill on both sides, plate, slice and enjoy!

Brilliant!! I’m trying this one for sure…I love crunchy things, Cheetoes being the best at that, right?? A grilled cheese sandwich with a crunch just has to be a great thing!

You’re officially my hero now Michelle. I thought I was the only one who made grilled cheeto sandwiches. I prefer mine with pepper cheese & oat nut bread. Yum.

Ummm…. No. Sorry. I just can’t see myself eating that. It looks like 1000 calories a bite! lol

Does that mean I have to come clean on my jar of dry roasted peanuts a week habit??? lol. I can say I have never heard of a cheetos toasted cheese sandwich! I love cheese!

When i first read the title “Grilled Cheetos Sandwich” – I thought you were kidding about the Cheetos.
Had to read your blog. Now, I have to show this to hubby & son – bet they will have to make some.
Will let you know their thoughts.

This is really neat! It reminds me of the scrambled egg-fritos sandwiches I used to have as a kid! My mom would give me a scrambled egg on white bread for lunch. It would get mushy, so I’d buy some Fritos in the cafeteria to give it some crunch.

You just reminded me of a fond memory. Maybe I should try the sandwich again? I’ll have to let it sit out and get mushy.
    :)

Hmm — the more I think about it, the Cheetos would probably add a nice crunch to the cheesy sandwich. I sure like the creativity behind this recipe! Pretty cool!

No way! Cheetos are my fave. Will have to try. (Finally getting back to Google reader and catching up.)
