This is my Smoke Bush (Cotinus Coggygria), isn’t it gorgeous! It was terribly damaged during our awful ’08-’09 winter and I was afraid it was not going to come back at all. After pruning out all the dead branches almost half the bush was gone. But here it is, albeit a little bit smaller, but still gorgeous all the same.
Every Saturday there’s a little flea market in the next village and I try to attend whenever possible. Last week I took my camera and snapped a picture of this gorgeous Lilly.
And finally a delicious Fresh Strawberry Salad. The Strawberry Dressing is so good my first batch never saw a salad, I stood and ate all of it, spoonful by spoonful, straight out of the food processor! Please click here if you would like to print the recipe.

How beautiful. I’ve never seen one but will be looking into whether or not they would grow here in dry, hot West Texas. Your salad is dreamy and don’t feel bad about eating right out of the blinder. Hope to try the recipe.
Blessings,
Jennifer

We picked up a GORGEOUS pink lily today and planted it because they are beautiful and everyone but me has one so now I do too. Lovely. Salad looks excellent.
Ummm – strawberry salad! The smoke bush is so striking and beautiful! Happy Pink Saturday!
Smoke bushes grow really well here. They are so pretty in the landscape.
As for the strawberry salad it is one of my favorites. I will eat spinach and strawberry salad with poppy seed dressing until it is all gone.
Love it!! Pink is an Attitude!!
What a delightful pink saturday post, and the smoky pink bush is pretty cool. I wouldn’t mine having one of those in my yard.
Have a Wonderful Evening-

I want one of those bushes!
What a unique plant. Don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of one. The salad looks yummy & unique as well.
Your smoke plant is beautiful…never seen one before. Also, that strawberry salad would be eaten asap if I could find a way through this computer! Thanks for sharing the recipe. Happy Pink Saturday – late!
Everything looks so beautiful…well, except for the Lily as I am deathly allergic to lilies. Can’t breathe with a lily present…it seizes me up, but everything else is absolutely gorgeous, and truthfully, as long as I can just look at the photo, the lily is also gorgeous.
