This week for our HBinFive Bread Braid Challenge we made two very unique recipes, Avocado-Gaucamole Bread and Pesto Pine Nut Bread. Originally when I was planning the baking schedule, I thought these breads would be slightly green colored for St. Patrick’s Day but as you see they are not green at all! But we enjoyed each of the breads although I do think the Pesto Pine Nut Bread was our favorite!
For the Avocado-Gaucamole Challenge I made Pulled Pork Sandwiches and All-American Cheese Burgers. And then with the Pesto Pine Nut Bread I made a Fried Egg Sandwich Deluxe with Bacon and by clicking on the below titles you can visit the posts for more information.

WOW my mouth is just drooling!!! Your food looks so wonderful…how do you stay so thin???
These look delicious Michelle! Wonderful job!
That pesto pine nut bread sound so wonderful to me too! Love your blog, everything looks so good!
That fried egg sandwich just made me really hungry!
Holy moley, I could have them for brekkie, lunch or dinner! Mouthwatering to the max!
I did love the wee bits o’green in the recipes, even though you had to look closely
I’m still drooling over your pulled pork sandwiches!
Both breads look lovely. I wished I had made mine into buns instead of loaves since we ate them with burgers, but I didn’t think of it when I was shaping the dough.

Avocado in a bread? Well why not I guess. I never would have thought of that but I guess that is why you are in charge here.
I loved both of these breads. And that egg sandwich! I could eat that every morning for breakfast.
Your buns look great. I am hoping to try that sometime soon. I did not get the Avocado bread made on time but I have linked up.
Your breads look great as usual. I’m afraid being a bit busier than usual means I won’t be posting for this time.
Looks so fabulous Michelle!
Thanks again Michelle for some wonderful bread – I will definitely need to try to pesto-pine nut one.
All those sandwiches look delish!! Especially the pulled pork!
The Peppered Pantry~
I am going to try the pine nut bread this week – but I LOVED the avocado bread – next time you make it, use some of the dough for pizza – it was really good!
Ha! I thought they would be green too. Your sammys all look great. I’m kind of leaning toward the burger. I could go for a good burger right now!

Your pictures are beautiful!!!!They all look fantastic, Michelle!Great job!
Nice buns!
Your sandwiches look fantastic! I love the fried egg sandwich. I need to try these as rolls. The pesto bread especially sounds like it would be great for sandwiches!
(Sorry I screwed up with the double on Mr. Linky)
That pine nut pesto bread sounds amazing! I’m glad you didn’t do them green.
Both bread sound fabulous.
Mimi
Both of your breads and ALL of your sandwiches look delish. Man oh man, it would be fun to be invited over for lunch at your house
I love the sandwiches you chose for your breads. I think the pesto pine nut would be my favorite for various reasons: pizza, focaccia, calzones, stromboli, maybe toasted as crostini….I’m on a roll with this one.
I’ve seemed to have lost Mr. Linkey for some reason and can’t post my link. So here it is: http://theclevengersarecoming.blogspot.com/2010/03/st-patricks-day.html.
Thanks!
Everything looks so delicious, especially on those wonderful buns…you really have these down! I usually ditch the bun, but in these cases, I am thinking the bun (at least the top part) stays!
I am sooo hungry right now, I could happily eat one of each of those sandwiches!!
I have one baguette left that I made the other night. more brueschetta or maybe some garlic bread out of it. I think the pesto nut bread is my favorite so far! (wait, have i said that already about one of the others? LOL)
OH, I am hungry NOW!
